I Am From Shadows
I am from a loving Mother and Grandmother, who sat by me through every step.
I am from a life full of pain and regret. I am from hiding in the shadows of life. To wonderful friends and family who saved me from harm.
I am from a building that couldn’t be called a home. Where there is neither love nor happiness, only tears that where followed by pain.
I am now from a family, I can call my own. One full of love and happiness. I am from a life I can now call my own. One without fear, pain, and regret.
Now I look out the window and see empty lots around me. Many homes turned to dust. Many memories turned away.
I am now from a fresh start. A new beginning. I was from the lonely shadows of life. Now, I am from the sunlight.
