I am the Shield

From playgrounds as a boy

To squad cars as a man

From having no cares of time

To patrolling around fighting crime

I am the Shield

As a kid I would laugh and play

Now cant be sure to live till the end of day

Used to think alot about me 

Now I respond to anyones plea

I am the Shield

As time went on I slowly grew

Now I go to work clad in blue
