I am sick of it!


It's been too much time.
  In the first light of day as the stars fade
  I'm also sick of the streetlight light that creeps into my bedroom obnoxiously.
  To remember you in my poems,
  Hiding in the shadow of your pale light
  There are so many things, I told you.

Mehmet Haldun TOKAY

Captain Haldun was born and raised in Ortaköy, a small district located at the western shores of Bosporus in Istanbul. He has been in the marine life for over 40 years. He joined the Navy then he worked as a captain on merchant ships and held other duties such as cruise ship agency manager and a ship supplier in this field. He has been lecturing in Piri Reis University, Maritime Faculty since 2015.
