I am in silence
I am in silence,
I scream as hard as I could
But people can’t hear me,
I am in silence,
I hurt myself without even thinking about it
For a reason, a reason that I can’t get it out
They call it the “sweet escape”
The type of escape that tortures me
And tortures me every time I look at it,
I am in silence,
An invisible tape covering my mouth so I can’t SCREAM,
I am in silence,
Why can’t I just say 1 or 2 little words?
And take the pain and the agony out of my system
It’s like the world doesn’t want me to say a word,
I am in silence,
If I bear myself in a whole
And never go out, will you still punish me
With my silence
Can I just take one more breath till my last word goes
Out?
I don’t want to be in silence any more, I want to break free
But something like chains is not letting me be free
I am in silence,
Within a world where I am stuck
Being me and not being me
Can this poem go on forever?
Will it stop at one where I can SCREAM,
Break free, and be me?
I am in silence
At once I have found Pease in this place I call world
I have found peace in the inner me called life
I will scream, be free, and be me,
I am not in silence.
