I Am... Silver

Silver.

A color often mistaken for gray, a lifeless color.

If only you'd see me at the right angles and right moments.

That I have trudged through such heartaches, Laziness is just emotional slowness

You must know that it's hard to register that which cannot be sold

the depths of human character are forged throughout time

heat for a heart that will never grow cold.

No, I am not gray. Nor lifeless. Nor slow.

I am merely one who waits for the light.

For when it hits me, I will be seen in all my glory.

That I am much more than the shadows of lies and fairy tale stories

Please. I am not gray, a lifeless color.

I am simply life's dark and forgotten lover.

Set... Me... Free...
