I am Speaking

Listen

Perhaps I will never speak the same as you

Perhaps my sign is not enough for you

But that doesn’t mean I cannot communicate

Listen

My body is rocking

My feet are tapping

My ring is spinning

Is this not communication?

Listen

Because I cannot talk

Does not mean I cannot

Listen

Because I cannot talk

Does not mean I do not understand you

You put me in therapy

(I use that word loosely)

You tried to cure me

Of something that is not a disease

Listen

And I will speak
