I AM A SPEEDING TICKET

Waiting to happen

Velvet grey storm clouds

Obscure dark tears.

Death at the finest,

And i gasp for breath underneath the

Velvet sky.

We run,

Run

Run

Like as the lemmings

Leaping off

Cliffs.

Like as the

Incorrect grammar you

Love

To patronize.

Dig fingers

Deep, deep.

Yes.

And the grainy sand is there,

Just like she said it would be.

Gym class didn't

Prepare you for

This,

With its small spaces where you

Might die of

Claustrophobia

Before

Overworkage.

Gasp-laugh at the thought

Because delusion comes easy here.

I am a speeding ticket

Waiting to happen.

With acquaintance like friends, who forget

Your own name,

Because delusion comes easy here.

And

Crash

Crash

Slamming into

Net.

Delusion comes easy here.

Nothing could prepare you for this.

Because a thousand laps and wall sits don't matter

When this is what you do.

My hands

Are bloody with

Astro turf,

DELUSION COMES EASY HERE

And I just want to pour that water

Over yourself and be done with it.

By now you

Wouldn't even care,

If suddenly

It happened.

Time enters a no passing zone.

I am a speeding ticket

Waiting to happen

I

Hurt.

And burn

And laugh

And cry.

And

I am a speeding ticket

Waiting to happen.
