I am standing in the

I am standing in the darkness Looking everywhere around
I am standing on the edge
I cannot find the ground
 I feel quartered and cornered
 Without a way free
I am standing on the line
It was the line I was given
I am standing, just in time As I’ve been told to do
I am standing on a bull’s eye
I am standing on an X
I am right where they expect me to be
For it is where they said to stand.
