I Am Still A Child

Indeed,

I used to be a child.

I am still a child.

We are all just sedimentary rock in the making.

To discover sagacity

And to re-discover it.

To define wisdom

And to re-define it.

To change and mold

And to be torn apart and rebuilt.

To develop personal ethics

And fall away from those ethics.

To hate yourself

And learn to love yourself.

To experience the world’s evil

And to create new good.

These are some of our many textures.

Layer

Upon layer,

We collect different stages of life.

But never

Are we finished.
