I am Strong

Can you hear my heartbeat Loud and clear Can you feel my heart raining Down with tears I feel isolated Un-invited Left alone to stay Can you see my heartbeat Slowing to a stop I can no longer feel What I once had sought The happy times that flew on by Along with the moments where I had to cry You say that you’ve loved me Only for me to hope and believe That I was the one and only For you when you said I was pretty But since that morning of that single day When I did not hear of what you had to say You left me all alone… And my pain, which I have shown On my face that I could not hide Gave up with a tear, I had cried. And now, I see That this was never meant to be Because we spoke so little And I, now in riddles, You have never told me Of this story’s end Nor that fact that you now Live your life so carefree Leaving me behind in your shadows But I shall not depend On what I no longer can hold And, truth be told I never liked you I pitied you For liking me And I hate me For agreeing to you And for once loving you. How can you laugh it off So easily So happily As if nothing has ever happened To you Nor to me The scars in my heart In which you have carved Are nothing more Than painful memories The times when you look at me When I'm here When I'm not Reopens the past which I buried Forgotten And lost Now I know, as a mere toy, That it was a lie A joke in your eyes Revenge, I seek not Pity, I despise Anger, I can almost die Cry, I can no more Why must you mock me Torture me Look at me Close your eyes Glance away from me You have nothing to do with me Any more. I now stand alone In a sunny flower field Where the bees once buzzed And the flowers had bloomed But now it is over The sky is grey I lie down slowly For I do not need you. Alone.
