I am strong.

I have learned that I do not know me,

but I do know that I am not weak. 

I am strong.

Sometimes people beat me down,

but I pick myself up off the ground.

I may feel as if everyone hates me, 

but I stand tall as if I am as strong as a tree.

I may get talked down at,

but I do not reply to that.

I may have low self-esteem, 

but I don't let that hold back my dreams.

People may not comprehend, 

but I continue to make amends.

The sun may not be shining bright, 

but my smile will continue to be a light.
