I am strong

I stand up,

with my head held high,

locking arms with the people I love.

I stand tall,

wiping my tears,

and keeping my smile strong.

I walk down the hallway,

with no care in the world

of what’s being said about me.

I looked adversity in the eyes,

and gave him a wink.

I stand up

to the people who

try to knock me down.

I stand tall,

next to the people

who have been through it all.

I walk down the hallway,

with a twinkle in my eye

because I know,

that I’m strong.

I confronted adversity,

and gave no attention to

the people

who were trying to make me feel small.
