I Am Sure

I know it is coming, rising from deep within. I know I can do this but it’s all happening again.

My friends don’t understand the dread that I face, they all laugh at me when I plead my case.

I must find a way to overcome this fear, of standing in front of them saying what they need to hear

I remember the day my decision was made. I will beat this fear, I will make it fade

What to talk about I need to know for sure. This was a big decision, it was a big part of the cure.

Animals, I know them well, like swinging from a branch. I could speak for the FFA at the Pizza Ranch

The first time I panicked, second and third more. But every time I did it, it was easier to get through the door.

For 3 years I spoke there.  To this day I still feel it there.  But I tamed that fear and keep it controlled with care.

For those of you who share this, I say do not be blue.  Find a path to do battle, it can be conquered.

I AM SURE
