I am a survivor
I thought when I grew up I would be a shiny knight
but instead I have become a beaten warrior
who has had no other option than to fight because the world really knows how to torture
there have been many early mornings working hard in silence
and this hard work has defined who I am
like my savior not a lion but instead only a lamb
i have been counted as the underdog my whole life and the odds have put me to the test
And he is the only weapon I need, I don't need a knife
I am a survivor
I am a striver
I am the one who took the path less chosen
I am the one who sees fear and won't be frozen
I am the one that was underestimated but I am also the one who knows that success is long awaited
I am the kid who gets knocked down seven times but gets up eight
because I know that in this world you ain't in charge of your own fate
So go ahead and open a dictionary and take a look at my name
and you will find that in my life I was never after the fame
but I was the one whose eyes always had a flame because I am the one who didn't want to leave the world the same.
