I am.. a survivor.

Years

And years

Of verbal and emotional abuse.

Abuse

from peers,

Parents,

Exes.

Depression,

With a side of

Anxiety,

Self-harm,

And suicidal thoughts.

Weeks

Spent in a psychiatric hospital.

Working to overcome

My demons.

Recovery

Is a word that most people use

When describing a
Physical trauma.

But most people don't understand

That you can go through a
Mental trauma, too.

When all was lost,

I had to look inside of

Myself,

And decide that this wasn't

The end.

And with enough strength,

Courage,

Hope,

I decided

To stop struggling,

And start surviving.
