I Am Tired

I am tired

I wake up every morning and know that I am worthless.

I am tired.

It takes more and more effort just to take a breath

when I know the next breath will bring me pain.

I am tired.

I survive until the next morning and I am rewarded with more struggles

that make being alive an inconvenience.

I am tired.

Knowing I am not worthy of being loved and having it

proved to me multiple times burns my heart.

I am tired.

I feel like a fish pulled from the water and have been struggling so long to

escape that I have run out of breath and my fins are tired.

I am tired.
