I am truth.

Falling, fumbling, scrabbling, searching

Unknown is my known.

I fall fast, hit hard

No longer feeling

Pure darkness ahead

Sweat of tears

A past that haunts my nights

The constant cold of winter.

A voice emerges from above

“I’m here, come back, just talk to me.”

I know that voice; It’s desperate

Why should I listen?

The light above is small

What if it hurts?

I feel weak, can I go back?

Light fills me as I find my hands hold and pull me up

I approach the top

Find the climb easier

Light overtakes the shadows

Blinding light washes over me

I know who I am

I am strength.

I am forgiving.

I am happiness.

I am truth.
