I am Undefined
I am a child because my mind is still that of one.
I've created stories beyond adult comprehension.
Some are real.
Most are imaginary.
I am a dreamer.
I dream of growing up smiling, laughing, just being happy,
Of soaring above the clouds and ruling the world.
My imagination has opened doors and led to new horizons.
I am a band nerd.
I'm not ashamed to say it.
Seven years of band and there is not a note I regret.
I have been raised with notes of wisdom and courage,
Gathering strength from the missed or wrong notes,
Appreciating dynamics and complexity of a piece.
I've learned to make it all count.
One, two te, three la li, four ti te ta...
From my directors to my competition,
Every last one of them brought me up.
I am only human.
Mountains and abysses stand before me,
Filled with curiosity, I always approach.
Sometimes I fall, but I am not afraid.
Sometimes I rise, but I stay humble.
The falls never punish,
Rather, they teach.
The rise doesn't carry forever,
Therefore, keeping us alert and on the lookout for the next fall.
I am compassionate.
I know life is not fair,
That it is not full of love.
So instead, I give love to all,
Those in need of it,
Those who seek it,
And even those who are believed to not deserve it.
But everyone deserves to be loved.
A smile, a hug, a simple "I love you."
Every day to everyone.
Sometimes the love you give is more than the love you receive,
And that is perfectly okay.
If I make one person smile, I have made a difference,
Even if that one person happens to be myself.
I am Analilia.
The child who isn't all grown up,
The dreamer with goals which will be met,
The student who let's her mistakes become a lesson,
The girl who wants the world to be a happy place,
The musician who is creating music and herself.
A definition limits the possibility of change.
But I change every day.
I can't place only one word to label myself.
I am powerful.
I am imaginative.
I am genuine,
I am analytical,
All that and so much more.
I have been carefully and personally crafted into who I am today.
I am not a word found in the dictionary.
There is not a word in any language to define me.
I am undefined.
