I am a Warrior

I am a Warrior

I do not wake in hesitation each day

but I wake to the idea of change

I stand knowing that my feet may fail

My knees may shake

but I will recover

And I will breath into the idea

That this world can improve

and breath out knowing I can too

I am not a robot

but I am not only human

I am a warrior who raised their hand

Who swore an oath

Who swore to protect

Who swore to defend

And although the nights are short

and the days are long

I will still stand

Balanced on the feet of motivation

Supported on the legs of dedication

and alive with the breath of an idea

because I am not only human

I am a Warrior
