I Am What I Am

I am what I am, a poem, a song.

I wonder where the diverging road in the yellow wood leads.

I hear the sounds of quiet and stillness.

I see glorious treasures from a hidden window.

I want to be free to laugh and dream.

I am what I am, a poem, a song.

I pretend to fly, and battle fierce dragons!

I feel the pull of reality's string, but also hope of something better.

I touch the edges of life's broken frame.

I worry about the future, although there is no need...

I cry at the thought of the ones I loved and lost.

I am what I am, a poem, a song.

I understand nothing is easy, and life is not roses.

I believe safety is overrated, you must jump to fly.

I dream of the day when all things pass away, and life becomes new.

I try to work hard, but I burden myself.

I hope to rest in the comfort of His peace.

I am what I am, a poem, a song
