I Am What I Am
I am what I am
I am determined to get my way
I am strong and steadfast
I am the oldest sister who imposes the orders
So better listen up now
I can be a little ignorant or irked
I will be mad and mordant
When I see something I think is wrong
This is my rant and rave
I may be seeing this life in black and white
But I will be a ferocious fighter
Watch out for me coming
I am like the exploding fireworks in the night sky
I may not always seem like this, but I am
I am what I am
I am what I am
I am dedicated and dependable
I am a sister, daughter, friend
I am a fast flying talker
I am a dancer, violinist, tennis player, artist, forever student
I am focused and no nonsense kinda girl
I am American, Minnesotan, Norwegian
I am a 3.97 GPA
I am like the wild waves rushing past on the beach
I am a going places kid
I can almost see the top
I will keep keeping on
I may not always seem like this, but I am
I am what I am
I am what I am
I am a soft and sweet side
I am comforting the toddler’s tears babysitting
I am the soft spoken girl
I am a listener who will lend an ear
I am the avid advice giver
I am gentle, pastel, dulcet
I am like frozen yogurt on a summer’s day
I may not always seem like this, but I am
I am what I am
