I am who I say I am, not who you say I am
I'm more than just a " nigga"
More than the melanin in my skin ,
More than the tight curls you may call " nigga naps",
More than just " another black boy in the ghetto",
More than just the " black boy who isn't gunna be anything in life ",
More than " blackie and monkey ",
More than " is your name rayquan ? ",
More than " the black boy with the big nose and big lips"
Although you make fun of my culture,
I love it and I'm proud of it
Your ignorance is bliss
But I thank you for it
Because of it ,I love myself
I am who I say I am
A young black ,intelligent, determined, and strong young man
I am who I say I am, not who you say I am
