I am a winding staircase

I am a winding staircase

I weave my way around the world

I'm not sure where I'm going

But I'm content in knowing that

I am never-ceasing, always moving in

A constant direction

Each step squeaks with a story

Some loud and angry

Some quiet and kind

I pave a way for others like me

I am their inspiration

They live vicariously through me

In hopes they won't crumble under the foot of life

Until I can provide a fresh coat of experience for someone like me

Until I can help someone find their true destination

I am and always will be

 A winding staircase
