I Am a Woman

I have my own anger

That I've bottled up in brandy

Like they bottled me up

In magazines

And covered my eyes with lies

So I still cry at night

And throw mascara on in the morning

Coating yesterday's fears

Coating my eyelids

With the ashes of egos

And dusting my cheeks

With unashamed truths

Because I am unashamed

To tell you the truth

I am a woman

Make up or not

Weak or Strong

I am a woman
