I am a work in progress... (to be continued)

I am a work in progress.

I wonder what the future holds for me, as

I hear the angel on my shoulder telling me to never give up because I am good enough.

I see endless possibilities awaiting me.

I want to become a teacher so I can change lives.

I am a work in progress.

I pretend to be brave when I am most scared, and

I feel stressed when I have too much to do, so

I touch my heart as a reminder of my worth.

I worry too much what other people think about me, and

I cry because I am too hard on myself.

I am a work in progress.

I understand each day we grow older, so

I say, “make the best of each day”.

I use dreams as motivation to get up every morning.

I try to help people when they’re in need because

I believe everybody deserves a chance, and

I am in this world to make a difference.

I have accomplished so much but

I still have a long road ahead of me, because

I am a work in progress.
