Somethings Always Change.

By: Abigail Rhea

Somethings always change. If I knew how to, I would.

There's more to life than what we've become, but there is what we are.

It's been 10 years, and I'm still the same. Still upset over life's punishments.

But you, you can't be punished. You won't allow the world to take your spirit.

And it's because you always change. "If they won't listen, I'll change."

It is admirable. For sure, it is admirable. But I can't change too much.

The people I love don't change too much. It is my responsibility to be myself.

That is my only responsibility here. So, here I sit, on a bench, watching you swim in circles around me.

Always changing, but you're still here. Just like me, you're all here.

There's only one difference between you and me: I am your audience and you are my annoyance.

For that, I must say thank you.

Thank you.
