I am...human

I am a lonely soul

but yet am never alone.

I am strong

because there’s no other option.

I am proud;

I spent too long being ashamed.

I am happy

but yet sad at the same time.

I am broken

but will one day be whole again.

I am not my past or my mistakes,

no one ever is.

I am not my inner demons

because we all have them.

I am not afraid of judgement

because their words no longer hurt.

I am not defined by other people’s opinions.

I am not defined by my sexuality.

I am human.
