I AM....Lost and Found

 Lost and Found

One day I woke up and to my surprise,
many teardrops ran from my eyes.

Like the tears I cried on my baptism date,
this life changing event opened up the flood gates.

For this day started with a request,
one that made me second guest.

Like opening God's word for the first time,
slightly afraid of what I might find.

This request came with a message,
A message that answered all my questions.

"I'm on a search for my sister"
That's when I started to get the picture.

Like being shown all Jesus went though,
all because He loved you.

It was then I realized, I had been found,
by my brother, who had been searching for me like a blood hound.

Like finding out God was always there,
waiting for me to become aware.

That He was working in my life,
hoping one day I would do what's right.

That He had already chosen me,
but I had to seek to find Him to be set free.

 Then on September 30 2007,
I got my little piece of heaven.

As I sat in the warm waters of the baptistery,
all I could hear was God saying "you found me, you found me."

Like finding the missing parts of my family tree,
I had found exactly where I needed to be.

For I was once lost now finally found,
and now my soul is heaven bound.

Like my brother finding me on Facebook,
all I had to do was open up and take a look.

These stories though different share a common ground

Both about a teenaged girl who was lost and found.
