I Am...More
Who am I?
I am what defines me.
36-Act score.
4.0-GPA.
14-Number of AP courses I have taken.
1-Class Rank.
This, I am told, is me.
But I am tired.
Tired of being told that my worth is equated on a 4 or 36 point scale.
We are filled with numbers and forget there is more. We get bogged down and consumed.
I am all of this, but that is not all I am.
I am a student, but I am more than just a student.
I am a daughter.
Sister.
Friend.
Pet-Owner.
Artist.
Runner.
Athlete.
Musician.
Nature Lover.
American.
Human being.
I am someone who laughs loudly, who lives passionately, who feels deeply, who occassionally feels overwhelmed or upset, who strives to see the good, and who realizes that I am more.
I am uniquely me, so I cannot be measured by preft meausurements.
I am taking my identity back and letting go of the stats.
I am me, and I love who I am.
