When it comes to what defines me… I AM “Strong”

There is nothing that can break me down or rip me apart

Because I AM “Strong”

When the devil tried to break me in 2012 by ripping my father from me and threw him in that jail cell

I could recall crying and asking why but I remembered

I AM “STRONG” and wiped those tears away

When I had to look my brothers in the face and wondering if they could see the pain

In my eyes could they see the hurt?

From that day on I would always hold my head up high and smile

Because I knew that I was “Strong”

I had to be if not for me but for them and my family

From that day on I would let NOTHING break me

Life was too precious to be sad and depressed each day

So now when I wake up I can see a brighter day

Each day I wake up I look in the mirror

And I realize that I’m still here but most importantly that…

I AM STRONG!
