I Am...Scholarship Slam

There is a River

Ebbing and Flowing

Bubbling and Swirling

With eddies of color

Vibrant against its banks

Many to this river are Turtles

Hugged low in the dark depths

Tentative to peek out

So simple and sturdy

Void of sunlight

Alone

But those who Dare

Are to this river a Fish

They embrace this river

Make it their own

Then display it to the world

Gorgeously arrayed

There is a River

Dry dull banks

Dancing hopping rapids

Dark murky depths

With crimson fish streaked with gold

To gray mud caked turtles

This river is divine

This river of imagination

And I am a Fish
