I and Two Score

Dear me and two score,

Questions buzz in my thoughts,
Mostly ones on
how or what or why or who
to be, obviously.
Caught at the red light,
Stuck deep in the jam
There must be something now-me can't understand.

To stay on or to exit,
To hold the wheel tight or
To let the reins loose
And watch the clouds slowly move?
Hit the gas, jump out,
Chin up, hold stout
Is this very bridge going to explode?
Are you even there?

Quizzes sent through mail
The rider I beg makes haste.
For the secrets are held in you,
And whatever the hell you've put me through.

Do I wish a reply or no?
Would I be pleased or shed tear?
I guess the answer will be slowly shown,
Year by aching year.
