I Apologize

Dear Mother,

I am writing this letter you because I have been a terrible daughter. Everytime something doesn’t go my way, I always want to blame you for it like you’re the bad guy and you’re not. You helped me through so many situations in my life that I should be nothing but grateful. You have still allowed me to live in this home with you regardless of all the things I’ve done from being admitted to the hospital on the 7th floor several times and being put in several different other psychiatric facilities. Then I’ve put you through the pain of having to see your daughter be taken in the detention center twice. Additionally with that I’ve been to jail twice and one of those times I got you arrested. I have no right to treat you in any disrespectful manner because I wouldn’t even be here without you. Yes I really want to go to college and it made me mad that we don’t have the funds required for me to go to almost any of the schools I’ve been accepted to. My whole life has been focused on education and when I felt like there was no way I could further it I got upset. But i am truly sorry and I hope that you can forgive me.

Sincerely,

Cha’dese Stamey
