I Be Who I Be

I was difficult from the start

although I had my momma's heart!

i kicked and kicked and broke her rib

i guarantee that's no fib.

she always expected me to excel,

it became hard for her to tell.

i have questioned her faith in me,

she promises she believes in me.

Ive had a few issues let's see if you've heard,

mixed dominance, excessive convergence and adhd.

the issues cause me stress occasionally,

but I'll prove her wrong she'll see.

college won't come easy for me.....

a focused kid is not what I be.

this scholarship would be such a blessing,

will you think of my story when you do your assessing?
