I Believe
This is just the beginning of my story.
I believe that one day I won't have to worry.
Bills will be paid.
Love will be made.
People won't judge me as I walk down the street
By the color of my skin spread from my head to my feet.
I believe that it takes five seconds to discriminate
and a lifetime to stop hate.
I believe one day my nephew will look to me
and all he will truly see
is me.
I believe one day all we will see is each other
We won't have to see white or black,
Hispanic or not,
Gay or straight
Come y'all, let's stop the hate
