I Bet You Didn't Know

I bet you didn’t know that Cinderella’s stepmom was homophobic.

Yeah, her loathing for our girl Cindy was all because of her sexuality,

Her love of both male and female was too much for her to grasp,

So, she hated Cindy while my girl, Kissed. Her. Ass.

I bet you didn’t know that our dear little mermaid, was only playing Eric.

That’s right, she was playing my boy.

Ariel desperately wanted to walk on land and marry a prince,

So, she finessed the boy, got what she wanted, and left everyone convinced.

I bet you didn’t know Belle had been an addict.

She lost her mother, her father next,

Turning to alternate realities in the pages of books

Her imagination ran wild, as she avoided the truth.

Her mental stability had been well hidden,

but who’s to say her journey to meet the beast and save her father, hadn’t been a factor of her drug intake.

Once upon a time,

There were princesses.

These were the same princesses I aspired to be.

These princesses exhibited innocent and naïve lives,

But their realities were the complete opposite,

Of what we watch with our families today.
