I bite into the candied heart

My God, where do I begin-

It started with the man who ruined it all

He tore my family apart;

the beginning of the fall

He took away my innocence,

the man with drunken persistence

He stomps out my flame

A dying candle stuck in the rain

All I had was weak resistence

I can't unhear what I know

He took away our stride

We are left with no spared pride
