I breathe By:Vincent D. Rodriguez

I breathe

I breathe I stand I walk and from this I am

I am a human who craves food and water and love

I am a human who has seen animals perish

I am a human who has watched a mother hold her dead son in her arms

I am a human whos looked fear in its eyes as it's devoured me

I am a human who rose and refused to lie down and refused to ever give up.

I am a human who has survived homelessness and hunger and pain

I am a human who survived depression and anger and the most sincere of pains

I am a god of my own domain

I am a god that shall never allow myself to have fear again

I am a god who strives to create

I am a god who will be the best being he can ever be

I am a god who will refuse normality

I am a god who will not lie down

I am a god who will not be changed by the world but will change the world.

I was made in the image of a god so am I not a god too

Are you not a god too

Stop

I am a human

I breathe I stand I walk

I am Vincent Dominic Rodriguez conqueror of fears, creator of my own destiny, life has knocked me lower than low before but the greatest thing about being at the bottom is you can only go up

I am a human who will only go up

I breathe I stand I walk and from this I am me. A human, a god, a survivor, and a boy

I breathe
