I can be your hero
I’d keep my promise
I can be your hero
but I won’t be
most suitable for
your heart
I’ll fuck things up
you’ll hate waiting
get frustrated with my masking
end up eventually leaving
never speaking to me again
even if you said you wouldn’t
I’d put that fake smile
letting you go
if that is what you wished
But even after
I’d keep my promise
to keep you safe
to be there
no matter what
to make sure
you are okay
I’ll still be your hero
even if you
don’t know
