"I Can Die Too," I Cried

Location

please stop placing me on a pedestal

Thinking you love me,

please stop loving me.

Can't you see? I'm the same as you

I'm no immortal, I can die too.

Then the others dragged me off, seized me,

stabbing me ceaselessly,

outraged because they thought

no matter how hard I bled

they couldn't defeat me.

and I kept fighting to stay alive,

but "I can die too," I cried.
