I Can Do
As a young child
I believed I could achieve great things
I believed I could be that one person who stood out among the rest
I believed I could avoid the pressures of my peers
I believed I could touch the sky
I rose above the rest
I was the one who could do anything
But then I didn't
Instead
I achieved rising out of bed
I never spoke up among the rest
I didn't have any peers pressuring me for anything
I almost touched the sky, but now
I'm glad I failed
I did rise above the rest
I have conquered my demons
and many more to come
I can now do anything
where as before
there was nothing to be done
I am determined
I am powerful
I can do
I can fly
I can believe
I can be happy
I can love
I can fight
I can win
I can do
