i can hear america

I hear America singing, the people in fear,

The LGBT, each fighting fr equality an respect.

The colored, singing, preaching, marching and fighting to stay alive.

The poor, complaning about being homeless.

Mothers, crying and praying for chlidren to return home safey.

The inmate, wishing for a better judgement, treatment and freedom.

The people, crying, hoping and striving get a new president.

The youth, letting drugs take ovr their lives for pleasure.

The music, motivating us into doing ruthless things.

The famous, teaching and persuading us into how we should live.

The media, persuading us into hw we should look in order to be accepted.

The nation belongs to us the people, but we keep singing,

but nobody is paying attention to the lyrics just to the beat of action.
