I can only realise the

I can only realise the new person I've become by turning back time

That time when I wasn't so open

That time when I had no personal shine

That time where me beat me, inside

But how can you beat you?

Unless...

"You arn't trying."

No trying means no success

because "every shot not taken is a shot missed"

, right?

Eventually I opened up

But everything wasn't good

Pain came with it

And I was misunderstood

"I don't look like them."

"Why not?"

"I don't act like them"

"How come?"

Growth

I grew a little faster than them, my teeth came first

Understanding

I knew a little better than to let them make me burst

I continued to grow and change

Compared to me as a kid

To me as a teen

I'm happy to say I didn't let them control me

I stayed my best self

And I did graduate.
