I can remember

I can remember, Like it was yesterday. The smile on his face, Made me happy. The twinkle in his eye, Made me smile. His laugh made me love him. He was my rock, He was my heart. Every day with him was an adventure. The years went on, Our wrinkles grew deep. Our love was meant for eternity. Our hands still fit together perfectly, As if no time went by. I can still hear him rocking on the front porch. Kids, your father was my heart, But somehow it’s still beating. He gave me his. I can remember our love story, Like it was yesterday.
