I Can See

Looking back now

There are many events

I wish I could change.

People I trusted,

People I loved,

People I hated.

Oh how foolishly yound I used to be.

Now I See the world for how it truly can be.

Some people are like coins.

Always having two sides,

But never showing one of their sides to you

Until it is too late and you can't turn back.

Some people,

If you're lucky enough to find them,

Radiate everything good.

They're all like the sun,

Always giving out

And never asking for anything in return.

But until the sun set,

You never realized how much you truly enjoyed its warmth.

And some people are lions, tigers, bears, and snakes.

All who seem mean and angry

But really are just protecting their own.

I See the world now for how it truly can be.

There are times I wish I could go back

When I could change events

That would keep me naive.

But I See the world for how it truly can be now,

And looking back,

I know its for the better.
