I Can See

I stop to look out and see the amazing
Beauty

That stands before me

Not only can I see the trees

And beautiful colors

I can hear the birds singing songs of

Happiness

Feel the breeze against my bronze skin

I look down and see that my wounds have sealed into battle scars

The earth smells of rain and contentment

The air taste of sweet, sweet honey

I look back and see the black clouds

Disappear

I realized everything I had been through

The crying

The fighting

The running

The blood

And pain

all led up to this beautiful moment

That I will forever hold dear in my

Heart
