"I Can See Your Fat"

Dragged down
into the darkness
by those who
speak openly
She is unable
to move, unable
to focus on anything
other than what has been
said. She needs to stop eating
so the words won't stick
to the surface of her skull
and creep into her memory
like a venomous snake
Ready to touch
Ready to attack
Ready to bite
Ready to strike
Ready to kill
