I Cannot Live WIthout

I cannot live Without the solace of a book, Without the words woven to please, Or the pages picked to perfection, I cannot live Without the world inside the books, The dynamic dystopians, Or the phenomenal fantasies, It's the rise and the fall, And the hope and the fear, Of the characters that grace the pages, It's the climax and the resolution, The beginning and the end, Of the perfect plots that begin on the first page, So whether it's "the best of times" Or the "worst of times," Whether it's Romeo or Juliet, Or the eyes of Doctor T.J Eckleburg, That I'm confronted with, I'll always be in a book.
