I Cannot Recall

I cannot recall what the feeling of love is. They say it is warm, It is kind, It is butterflies in your stomach When you see the one you love. Each time I have felt that warmth, That kindness, Those butterflies, She changed into cold- into mean, Into hornets swarming my insides. I cannot recall what the feeling of love is, For every time I come close to it, I remember the previous, And the one before that- All the ones that I thought I loved.
