I Can't Escape Myself

Sat, 08/29/2015 - 22:32 -- REH104

Anxiety is...

it's the silent killer.

I have to cater to everyone's needs.

I must but

it's not enough.

I'm trying so hard

it's never enough.

Wdon't they like me?

Why am I not as good as them?

I just need someone there for me.

I'm always there for them.

My tears are blinding,

my body is heaving.

I'm sitting alone,

but I'm okay.

As long as everyone is happy,

I'm okay.

No you're not!

My head, no my heart,

is screaming that.

I don't want to be a bother though,

so I'll just keep sitting here.

Maybe one day, one day

I'll be freed from the prison that is my own head.
